Anita S. Lane is an author, freelance writer, columnist and speaker who is passionate about empowering women, mothers and families. A public policy analyst by training, Anita currently serves as the executive editor of the online magazine, www.KeepingFamilyFirst.org. Her editorials on family and society have been published in The Detroit News, and she maintains a column at www.justformom.com. She is a regular contributor to Hope for Women Magazine, and a published author within the best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul® series. Her first book, Lessons My Toddler Taught Me: A Devotional for Mothers of Young Children, was released in March of 2007. A native Detroiter, Anita attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor—earning both a bachelors degree in political science, and a masters degree in public policy. Anita lives in Grosse Pointe, Michigan with her husband and four young children. In her "spare" moments, Anita thoroughly enjoys writing political commentary.
